Transition Drinks and Gardeners Question Time.

Transition drinks Wednesday 2nd May, 6pm-8pm
Forks, Swains Lane

Join us for our next monthly social evening.

The first Wednesday of every month is a chance to find out more about Transition and how you can get involved; hatch future plans and make new friends, over a drink or two (or some tea and cake!).

We’ll be in the back room of Forks and the garden if it’s sunny.

Children are very welcome.

Gardeners Question Time Sunday 6th May, 2-3.30pm
Highgate Newtown Community Centre garden

Our weekly Sunday gardening sessions continue this month, and since we built raised beds and filled them with compost, we have been starting to plant food. So far we’ve planted heritage potatoes, rainbow chard, beetroot, Russian red spinach, runner beans, edible flowers, beetroot, cougettes, redcurrants, blackcurrants, strawberries, salad and herbs.

We aim to use the space to learn and teach others, so on Sunday 6th May, Master Gardener Anita Gracie who spoke brilliantly at our Seedy Saturday, will return to answer your questions.

Do drop by with any growing queries, bring seedlings if you have them, and see our progress, meet neighbours and hopefully enjoy some sunshine!

If you arrive late and the front door is closed, please go through the alleyway on Bertram Street ( to the right as you approach the centre) and shout through the garden gate, or call Sara on 07986 075 829.
