Community lunch and food growing walk

Sunday 14th July,
meet 11am at Highgate Newtown Community Centre garden, Bertram Street, N19

IMG_0731This is the highlight of our summer season. Come and join the Transition Dartmouth Park growing group for a tour of local food growing spaces, followed by a shared community lunch and organic growing workshop. The plan for the day is as follows, but feel free to drop in whenever you’re free:

11am: meet in the HNCC garden, bring some homemade or home grown food to share for lunch
11.30am-1pm: walk to the other local growing spaces we are involved with:

The Towers, Dartmouth Park Hill
The Secret Garden, Doynton Street
Waterlow Park Kitchen Garden
At each site we’ll hear from those involved in growing food over the last year, and have the chance to ask questions.

1pm – Arrive back at Highgate Newtown Community Centre for lunch
2pm – Organic food growing ‘Gardeners Question Time’ with local Master Gardener Phil Guest.
